This privacy policy explains what personal data the app collects, why, who can see it, and what your rights are.

What the app is for

Tandem is a peer-to-peer location-sharing app. Two people who know each other can pair their devices using a short one-time code. After that, one person can look up the other’s current location, and the person being looked up sees an in-app log of every check.

The app is intended for anyone aged 13 or older. By using the app, you confirm that you are 13 or over.

No accounts. No email. No password.

SafeShare does not have accounts in the usual sense. When you open the app for the first time you receive an anonymous identity — a randomly generated identifier stored on your device. We do not ask for your name, your email, your phone number, your date of birth (beyond the 13+ confirmation), or any other identifying information.

If you lose your device or uninstall the app, the identity is gone. There is no recovery, no “sign in from another device.” This is deliberate.
